The 26th Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMA) had no shortage of unforgettable moments, but Stonebwoy’s performance and dominance defined the night. With a show-stopping set, spiritual symbolism, and three major wins — including a historic ninth as Reggae/Dancehall Artiste of the Year — the UP & RUNNIN6 star proved once again that his reign is rooted in both craft and culture.

Stonebwoy made a powerful entrance dressed in an all-white outfit, holding a large white Ankh staff — a symbol of eternal life and spiritual authority. The image was instantly iconic. Whether interpreted as a connection to his African roots, a message of renewal, or artistic rebirth, the symbolism wasn’t lost on anyone.

He walked with intent, as if carrying the weight of legacy, and the crowd responded with reverence.

Kicking off his performance with the fiery ‘SEND DEM’, Stonebwoy lit up the TGMA stage with high energy, clean choreography, and commanding presence. But just when it seemed he had peaked, he debuted a surprise unreleased track titled ‘FIRE’ — and true to its name, it set the entire venue ablaze.

Though fans are yet to hear an official release, ‘FIRE’ instantly resonated with its explosive sound and catchy hook — a bold reminder that Stonebwoy is still pushing boundaries and shaping the future of Ghanaian music.

Stonebwoy didn’t just deliver one of the best performances of the night — he walked away with three major awards, cementing his name deeper in the history books:

    • 🏆 Reggae/Dancehall Artiste of the Year — for a record-breaking 9th time

    • 🏆 Best Reggae/Dancehall Song of the Year

    • 🏆 Best Music Video — for ‘JEJEREJE’ featuring Jamaican dancehall queen Spice

The win for ‘JEJEREJE’ was especially significant. The video, known for its vibrant Caribbean-Afro fusion, striking visuals, and rich cultural energy, was a favorite among fans and critics alike — and this award seals its impact on both the Ghanaian and international music scenes.

From artistic symbolism to musical excellence, and now with a visual masterpiece under his belt, Stonebwoy’s TGMA 2025 experience was nothing short of a legacy performance. It was a moment of reflection, evolution, and celebration — all delivered with the precision and presence only a true icon could command.

Three awards. One unreleased anthem. A walking symbol of legacy.
At TGMA 2025, Stonebwoy didn’t just win — he ascended.
