Ghana’s global reggae and dancehall icon Stonebwoy created a historic moment as he made an emotional return to his hometown, Anloga, during this year’s Hogbetsotso Festival. The multiple award-winning artist, known for proudly representing the Volta Region, shared heartfelt highlights from the event with the message:

“You were Amazing. I’ll never forget you ❤️‍🔥
    Hogbetsotso.
Glad to come Home to do this with my People.🔥

The video shared on his socials beautifully captures the essence of Stonebwoy’s homecoming — a perfect blend of culture, pride, and music. His arrival in Anloga was nothing short of grand, as he was received with love and admiration from the people who have watched his journey from humble beginnings to international stardom.

Upon arrival, Stonebwoy paid homage to tradition by visiting the Awoamefia Palace, where he met with the Father of the Land, Torgbui Sri III. The visit was filled with symbolism — a proud son of the soil returning to seek blessings and share his success with the very community that shaped him. The moment resonated deeply with fans and locals, as Stonebwoy stood tall as both a global music ambassador and a proud Anloga native.

The celebration continued at the Lalana Beach Resort, where Stonebwoy delivered a breathtaking performance that lit up the Hogbetsotso weekend. With his trademark energy, commanding stage presence, and unmatched connection with the crowd, the “Gidi Gidi (Fire)” hitmaker turned the beachside venue into a sea of excitement. Fans sang along word for word as he performed hit after hit, blending reggae, dancehall, and Afro-fusion in his signature style.

What made the night truly special was the emotional significance — this was Stonebwoy’s first-ever major performance in his hometown, a milestone that carries deep cultural and personal meaning. Known for his authenticity and humility, Stonebwoy’s return to Anloga wasn’t just a concert; it was a celebration of heritage, unity, and gratitude.

The Hogbetsotso Festival, one of the most culturally rich events in Ghana, became even more memorable this year with Stonebwoy’s presence. His performance not only entertained but also inspired, reminding Ghanaians and the world of the importance of remembering one’s roots no matter how far one goes.

Under his new artistic banner #TheTorcher, Stonebwoy continues to illuminate stages across the world while staying grounded in his identity. His Hogbetsotso appearance stands as a proud reminder that home will always be where the heart is.

A royal homecoming, a spiritual reconnection, and an unforgettable night in Anloga — Stonebwoy once again proved why he remains one of Africa’s most influential and beloved music voices.
