Telecel Ghana, through its enterprise division Telecel Business, has organised the third edition of its Women 100 Power Connect, bringing together 100 influential women from business, governance, academia, technology, and entrepreneurship to explore how reciprocity can strengthen leadership and create more opportunities for women.

The event marked the grand finale of the company’s Women’s Month activities, held under the theme “Give to Rise: The Power of Reciprocity.” It forms part of Telecel’s broader Women in Business initiative, which supports women-led enterprises with visibility, capacity building, and access to growth opportunities.

CEO of Telecel Ghana, Ing. Patricia Obo-Nai, highlighted the purpose of the gathering as a platform for women leaders to share experiences and insights across industries and generations. She noted that the month-long celebration included initiatives such as training 1,000 young girls in coding and hosting discussions focused on advancing women’s progress.

Delivering the keynote address, former Chief Justice Sophia Akuffo (Rtd) encouraged women in leadership to intentionally support and uplift others. She emphasized the importance of creating pathways for younger women and building a legacy that extends beyond personal achievement.

She also underscored trust as a powerful form of reciprocity, noting that many women succeed because others believe in their potential before they do themselves.

The event featured contributions from Prof. Pinaman Appau, CEO of the Ghana Mental Health Authority, and Rhoda Wedam, CEO of Song-Ba Empowerment Centre, who shared insights on mentorship, consistency, and building strong support systems.

Held in Osu, the gathering combined meaningful dialogue with networking opportunities, live music, and curated interactions designed to foster collaboration among participants.

Women 100 Power Connect remains a key component of Telecel’s Women in Business platform, which aims to strengthen the ecosystem for women-led small and medium enterprises through tools, training, and enterprise support.

Director of Enterprise Business and Wholesale at Telecel Ghana, Tawa Bolarin, emphasized the importance of strong networks in driving business growth, encouraging women entrepreneurs to engage with the platform and take advantage of available opportunities.
