President Akufo-Addo has urged Sports Minister Mustapha Ussif and football authorities to begin talks with England and Chelsea winger Callum Hudson Odoi for the player to switch and play for Ghana. But the Chelsea winger says only time will tell if he will switch nationality to play for the Black Stars.

The Chelsea star, who was born to Ghanaian parents in England on Monday, paid a courtesy visit to the Jubilee House. Hudson-Odoi, whose father is a former Ghana international and a Hearts of Oak player Bismark Odoi, is eligible to play for the Black Stars despite playing for the England national team in recent times. Speaking to Chelsea fans in Accra at an event, Callum Hudson Odoi insists only time will tell whether he will switch nationality and play for Ghana or not.

“When you are young, you have the opportunity to play for the under 15, 16, 17, and the 20’so England gave me a good opportunity to play and I did but I also told them Ghana is my home as well”

“So we will see about that because you will never know, maybe I will come back,“ Callum Hudson Odoi added.
