The Volta Region recorded a total of 241 fire outbreaks from January to November 2024.
They included 103 domestic fires and 15 electrical fires within the period under review.

Deputy Chief Fire Officer (DCFO) Mr Joy Ayim Ameyibor, Volta Regional Commander who disclosed this to the Ghana News Agency, said 17 vehicular fires were also witnessed within the period.
A total of 43 and 53 commercial and bush fires respectively were also recorded within the same period.
The Commander said the region also witnessed nine institutional fires within the period.
DCFO Ameyibor asked the citizens to adhere to fire safety protocols to avoid fire outbreaks and to protect lives and property.
