After months of anticipation and build-up, Ghanaian Afrobeat and Afropop powerhouse Wendy Shay has finally released her highly anticipated studio album titled “READY.”

The 13-track body of work paints an intimate portrait of Wendy’s evolution — from a street-tough dreamer to one of Ghana’s most influential female voices. With bold themes, emotional storytelling, and a fusion of Afrobeat, R&B, and Dancehall influences, “READY” stands as her most complete and daring project yet.

The album opens with “Street Girl (Soul Survivor)”, a raw and reflective record that sets the tone for the journey — speaking directly to the strength and struggles that shaped Wendy’s artistry. She follows it up with “Black Coffee”, a smooth mid-tempo groove that blends sensuality with soul, and “Crazy Love” featuring Ghana’s rising sensation Olivetheboy, delivering undeniable chemistry and melodic brilliance.

Wendy then switches gears with “PTSD”, offering listeners a vulnerable side rarely seen — a heartfelt confessional about pain, healing, and the price of fame. She reclaims her confidence with club-ready bangers like “Fuck The Club” and “Don’t Be Silly” featuring the ever-vibrant Tiffany, a record packed with female empowerment energy.

International collaborations also shine across the project. “Weed N Wine” featuring Nigyboy introduces Caribbean-infused vibes, while “Apology” connects Ghana and Jamaica through a stunning collaboration with reggae/dancehall legend Mavado. South African queen Makhadzi joins in on “Party Animal”, adding a cross-border flavor that highlights Wendy’s growing Pan-African appeal.

Rounding off the tracklist, songs like “Baby Mama Drama”, “Kiss N Tell”, and “La Jefa” explore personal growth, trust, and independence. The album closes with “Too Late 2.0”, a star-studded remix featuring Guchi, Bedjine, and Phina — uniting powerful female voices across Africa in a fitting finale of empowerment and grace.

“READY” is not just another album — it’s a statement. It represents Wendy Shay’s journey through pain, passion, and purpose; her transformation from controversy to confidence. Every track embodies a story, a mood, and a message — showing that she’s more than ready for her next era.

Available now on all streaming platforms.
