    Winneba Secondary School celebrates 75 years

    Students and Management staff of Winneba Secondary School (WINNISEC) have embarked on a six-hour health walk through the principal streets of Winneba to create awareness among stakeholders to join them in the celebration of their Diamond Jubilee.

    The celebration is on the theme: “Enhancing Quality Education, through Science, Technology and Innovation: The role of stakeholders.”

    It would be climaxed with a durbar on Saturday, October 26 at Aboakyer square of the school in Winneba, with Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, Vice President of Ghana/Presidential Candidate of the New Patriotic Party as the Guest of Honour.

    The celebration would coincide with the 2024 Speech and Price-Giving Day of the school.

    Mr Daniel Nunoo, Assistant Headmaster, Administration on behalf of the Management, the Planning Committee, later led the procession to the palace of Neenyi Ghartey VII, Effutu Paramount Chief, where he was officially presented an invitation for the occasion.

     Neenyi Ghartey thanked the management and the planning committee and assured that, God willing he and the entire Effutu Traditional Council members will join the celebration.

    Neenyi Ghartey, further presented undisclosed amount of money to the management.

     Mr Nunoo said among other activities for the celebration were a memorial service, clean-up exercise, Parliamentary Debate/ Drama, Fun Games, Awards Night, Soccer/WOSA Homecoming and Church Service on Sunday, October 27 at the School.
