In his remarks, the Chancellor said the work towards the birth and growth of Wisconsin International University College is a community development project and urged the staff to regard it as such. ”The reason we have achieved this significant growth is because of God, family and the committed staff. We should always regard this University as a community development. We are helping the community, the young people to have good education to become good citizens of this country and help their communities,” he said.
Madam Camila Fynn, daughter of the Chancellor, in a goodwill message to the father said: “Your unwavering devotion to God inspires us daily. We honour you for the love you have poured into our family, the wisdom you have shared and the sacrifices you have made. You are our mentor and pillar, May God continue to bless and keep you strong as you lead us.”
Dr Lawrence Kanae, Vice President, WIUC, said the contributions of the Chancellor to human capital development and education as a whole had been tremendous, adding that “without him this University would not have been in existence and 25 years of a university that started in a modest way has not been easy at all.”
