Vice President Bawumia and Second Lady take vaccine at Police Hospital

Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia and Second Lady Samira Bawumia have taken the AstraZeneca vaccine. This follows shortly after President Akufo-Addo and the First Lady took their shots at the 37 Military Hospital.

On Sunday  (February 2021) evening, the President addressed the nation and vowed to take the vaccine as an example to calm Ghanaians’ fears about the AstraZeneca vaccine to help combat the deadly Coronavirus.

Some of these fears include the vaccine’s supposed ability to alter one’s DNA, cause infertility and wipe out the entire African race. The Vice President reassured Ghanaians that the vaccine was safe to take therefore should not fear. He also applauded the Ghana Health Service’s hard work in combatting the virus.

After the vaccination, exercise the Vice President and his wife were presented with cards as proof of taking their shots.
