    Five Confirmed Dead in Fatal Crash at Asikuma Junction — GNFS

    Five people have been confirmed dead in a road accident that occurred at Asikuma Junction in the Asuogyaman District of the Eastern Region, the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) has reported.

    In a post on its official Facebook page, the GNFS stated that a rescue team led by AstnO Fred Aganu and accompanied by Acting District Fire Officer ADO I Godwin Gbedemah was dispatched from the Peki Fire Station after a distress call.

    The crash involved a grey Toyota Noah, registered GX 422-25, and a tipper truck with registration number GT 725-19.

    According to the GNFS, nine people were involved in the accident. Four victims, including a child, were rescued and transported by the National Ambulance Service to the Peki Government Hospital for treatment.

    Sadly, five others were found unresponsive and their bodies have been handed over to the police for further investigation.
