The Chairman of the Leukaemia Project Foundation, HRM Chief Alhassan Andani, has appealed for immediate investment in Ghana’s healthcare sector, disclosing that an estimated $10 million is required to set up a world-class leukaemia treatment centre in the country.

He made the call during an interview on Joy FM’s Super Morning Show on Monday, December 15, in response to a JoyNews documentary titled “Leukaemia: Last Chance Abroad,” which recounted the heartbreaking story of a child who fought the disease for four years before recently losing the battle.

Chief Andani explained that establishing such a facility would demand substantial funding for advanced infrastructure, modern medical equipment and specialised treatment systems capable of meeting international healthcare standards.
