Access Bank Ghana, in collaboration with Deloitte Ghana, has organised a Women Business Workshop aimed at equipping female entrepreneurs with the financial knowledge and strategic skills needed to grow and sustain their businesses.

The workshop brought together women-owned businesses that are clients of the bank, creating a platform for learning, networking, and discussions on the realities and challenges of running businesses in a competitive market environment.

Speaking at the event, Bimpe Gisanrin, Head of Women Banking for Access Bank African Subsidiaries, reaffirmed the bank’s commitment to supporting women entrepreneurs beyond traditional financial services.

According to her, women-led businesses play a major role in driving economic development, but access to funding alone is insufficient. She stressed the importance of financial literacy, business structures, and strategic decision-making in helping entrepreneurs achieve long-term growth.

She explained that many women entrepreneurs possess ambition and potential but are often limited by gaps in financial management knowledge and business strategy. The workshop, she said, was designed to bridge those gaps by providing practical guidance on financial planning, business structuring, and sustainable growth.

Bimpe Gisanrin further noted that Access Bank remains intentional about building platforms that allow women entrepreneurs to interact with experts, ask questions, and gain practical solutions that can strengthen their businesses and resilience.

Facilitators from Deloitte Ghana led detailed sessions on areas such as financial management, risk assessment, and strategic planning. Participants were equipped with tools and frameworks aimed at helping them expand their businesses and improve their readiness for investment opportunities.

The workshop also encouraged participants to share personal business experiences and challenges, promoting collaboration, networking, and collective learning among the entrepreneurs.

The initiative forms part of Access Bank Ghana’s broader strategy to support women entrepreneurship and accelerate the development of small and medium-sized enterprises across the country.

Access Bank Ghana, a subsidiary of Access Bank PLC, operates as a full-service commercial bank and continues to focus on financial inclusion, digital transformation, and innovative banking solutions aimed at empowering individuals and businesses nationwide.
