Ghanaian musician Sparqlyn has earned further recognition for his contribution to the music industry after securing three nominations at the 2026 Golden Stars Awards.
The awards ceremony, scheduled for Saturday, September 5, at Emkay Paradise City in Tema Newtown, will celebrate outstanding achievements across various fields, with Sparqlyn competing in three major categories.
The artiste has been nominated for the African Cultural Leadership & Music Excellence Award, African Legacy Icon Award, and Pan-African Creative & Social Impact Award.
The latest honours add to Sparqlyn’s growing list of achievements since embarking on his solo career after departing from the award-winning music group Dunsin.
Through his music, live performances and efforts to promote Ghanaian sounds internationally, Sparqlyn has continued to establish himself as a notable figure in contemporary African music.
His 2026 campaign has been particularly successful, highlighted by the release of his highlife single “Fameko”, featuring Ziya. The song has received positive feedback from fans and industry observers for its distinctive production and meaningful lyrics.
The nominations also follow recent accolades received by the musician, including the African Best Ghanaian Musician of the Year award at the African Performance Leadership Awards (APLA), as well as recognition from the Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA) for his contribution to the local music industry.
With these achievements, Sparqlyn continues to strengthen his position as one of Ghana’s respected contemporary artistes.
