The Ghana Police Service has announced a comprehensive security strategy by the Accra Regional Command to ensure a safe and incident-free Eid-ul-Fitr celebration across the capital.
According to the statement, personnel have been deployed to key locations including mosques, designated prayer grounds, major roads, markets, and transport terminals to safeguard lives and property. Special traffic management teams will also be on hand to control congestion and promote road safety, particularly around busy areas.
The Command noted that patrols will be intensified to deter crime and enable rapid emergency response, while urging the public to remain vigilant, cooperate with officers, and report suspicious activities.
Motorists and pedestrians have also been advised to comply with traffic regulations to ensure a smooth and orderly celebration.
