Amenfi Central Member of Parliament Joana Gyan Cudjoe has ended her seven-year professional partnership with music duo Keche Global, bringing to an end her role as the group’s investor, manager and executive producer.
In a statement issued on Monday, August 31, 2026, through GEM Multimedia Ghana Ltd, the MP said the partnership, which began in 2019, had come to an end following the expiration of the agreement between the parties.
Joana Gyan Cudjoe said she had chosen not to renew or extend the arrangement, meaning Keche Global will now operate independently without her financial, managerial or business backing.
She described the decision as a professional one reached “with peace, humility, kindness, love and respect,” emphasising that the separation was not prompted by a dispute, hatred or controversy.
Over the seven-year period, the legislator said she made substantial investments in the duo’s career, supporting music recording and production, video projects, marketing, branding, artist development, international travel, performances and other creative ventures.
She also disclosed that she was responsible for changing the group’s name from Keche to Keche Global as part of an effort to position the duo for a wider international audience.
Despite the conclusion of their business relationship, Joana Gyan Cudjoe said her personal and family relationship with the members of the group remains unchanged.
Keche Andrew, whose real name is Andrew Kofi Cudjoe, is married to the MP, while Joshua Kojo Ampah is the other member of the duo.
“KECHE WILL ALWAYS BE FAMILY,” the statement said, as Joana Gyan Cudjoe wished the group success as it begins a new chapter.
Following the end of the partnership, the Amenfi Central MP said she intends to channel her resources and experience into discovering and developing new talent, supporting music projects, pursuing investments and exploring other opportunities through GEM Multimedia Ghana Ltd.
