Mr Johnson Asiedu Nketiah, the National Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has cautioned the electorate and the party in particular  against voting ‘skirt and blouse’ when they go to polls on December 7 Presidential and Parliamentary Elections.

He said the NDC required a majority in Parliament as the “country prepares to inaugurate the former President John Dramani Mahama as the next President of Ghana on January 7, 2025.”

Addressing a mammoth rally of NDC supporters and members at Brohane in the Tain Constituency, as part of his campaign visit to the Bono Region, Mr Nketiah said the NDC also needed a majority in the House to effectively carry out government businesses.

That, he added, would also make it somehow easier for the former President Mahama’s government to achieve her vision for the nation.

“The Election 2024 is not about family or party affiliations but about competence,” he stated, saying he was confident and convinced that the electorates were now more informed and would vote for the NDC that would alleviate their plight.

He said the progressive and development of the nation ought to change or direct the voting pattern of electorates in favour of the former President Mahama.

Mr Nketiah said now Ghanaians had “tested and knew the strength” of both the NDC and NPP governments, and therefore urged the electorates to look into their living conditions now and make informed decisions by voting for the NDC on December 7.

The campaign tour also took Mr Nketiah to the Jaman North constituency where he addressed separate political rallies at Bonakire, Jinini, Adadiem, Dorbor, Namasa, and Hani.

Mr Nketiah highlighted some achievements of the former NDC government in the area and asked the electorates there to vote for the party for the NDC government to tackle the development shortfalls in the local communities.
