The Black Stars attacker was forced off with an injury when his outfit played out a pulsating goalless draw with Real Sociedad in the Spanish La Liga last Sunday.
Williams was replaced in the 62nd-minute by Alvaro Djalo following an injury setback to the Ghana international.
The former Spain international, who suffered a muscle discomfort at the weekend missed training on Tuesday morning, sparking concerns about his availability for the crunch seminal return fixture against Manchester United on Thursday.
