CEDA applauds Emmanuel Armah-Kofi Buah on his Nomination as Minister-designate for Lands

The Center for Environmental and Development Advocacy (CEDA), has congratulated Mr. Emmanuel Armah-Kofi Buah, Member of Parliament (MP) for Ellembelle on his nomination  as Minister-Designate for Lands and Natural Resources.

CEDA noted that his appointment was a testament to his dedication, expertise, and passion for environmental conservation and sustainable development.

“While we acknowledge the numerous challenges facing the Ministry of Lands and Natural Resources, we are confident that under Mr. Armah-Kofi Buah’s leadership, the Ministry will effectively implement policies that will safeguard the environment, tackle illegal mining, and promote vital land reforms aimed at driving overall growth and development.” This was contained in a statement issued and signed by Mr. Shadrach Offome, the Executive Director of CEDA and copied to the Ghana News Agency in Aiyinasi in the Western Region.

The statement said Mr. Armah-Kofi Buah’s commitment to environmental sustainability and community development aligned with the organization’s values. “We look forward to collaborating with him to advance Ghana’s environmental and development agenda.” CEDA said it hoped that Parliament would expedite action on the vetting and approval process, as Mr. Armah-Kofi Buah’s integrity, expertise, and competence in the areas of lands and natural resources were well-recognized.

CEDA also commended President Mahama for placing his trust in Mr. Armah-Kofi Buah and wished him every success in his new role. “We are committed to supporting his endeavors to protect Ghana’s natural resources and promote sustainable development,” the statement assured.
