The David Eccles School of Business at the University of Utah has marked a historic milestone, graduating its first batch of international students in Ghana through its award-winning Master of Business Creation (MBC) Global program.

The MBC program, having enrolled over 200 founders, was first introduced in 2019 as a first-of-kind program, providing entrepreneurs with information and resources they need to grow and scale their companies.

The ceremony marked the expansion of the school’s program, equipping founders across Africa with the skills, mentorship, and resources to launch and scale their businesses on the global stage.

Mr. Jeff Davis, newly appointed Director of MBC Global said the graduation is an accomplishment for both the African founders and the MBC program.

He noted that the founders had gained the needed skills and confidence to scale their remarkable businesses, while the program had also discovered what it takes to deliver a world-class experience.

“We are proud to be able to offer the world’s leading business accelerator plus graduate degree for serious entrepreneurs in the U.S. and more and more locations around the world,” Mr. Davis said.

The Director said the team from the School was targeting the best founders to grow the program as well as local mentors and coaches to assist their ventures.

Dr. Bright Vandyke Okyere, a beneficiary of the MBC Global program described the program as an eye-opener that has helped shape his career path.
