The Administrator of the Ghana Medical Trust Fund, popularly known as MahamaCares, Adjoa Obuobia Darko-Opoku, has announced a list of health facilities currently enrolled in the programme and offering healthcare services to beneficiaries across the country.

Speaking during the Government’s Accountability Series on Monday, May 11, Madam Obuobia explained that the Trust Fund was established to mobilise financial resources to support specialised medical treatment for Ghanaians battling chronic illnesses such as cancer and kidney disease.

She noted that several hospitals nationwide have already been integrated into the programme to ensure wider access to healthcare services under the initiative.

Some of the participating facilities include Korle Bu Teaching Hospital, Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital, Cape Coast Teaching Hospital, Tamale Teaching Hospital and University of Ghana Medical Centre.

Other facilities enrolled under the programme include regional and municipal hospitals, specialist centres and selected private healthcare institutions such as 37 Military Hospital, The Bank Hospital and Trust Specialist Hospital.
