    GMB@20 Launched as TV3 Celebrates Two Decades of Promoting Ghanaian Culture

    The 20th edition of Ghana’s Most Beautiful (GMB@20) has been officially launched, marking two decades of celebrating Ghanaian culture, heritage and female empowerment. The milestone edition is themed “Celebration: GMB@20 – Celebrating 20 Years of Culture, Grace and Legacy.”

    Some of the highlights of the anniversary edition include:

    • 16 contestants representing all 16 regions of Ghana have been unveiled to compete for the coveted crown.
    • The winner’s prize package is the biggest in the show’s history and includes:
      • GH¢200,000 cash
      • A brand-new car
      • A Master’s degree scholarship
      • A newly designed GMB crown
      • Gold jewellery
      • A fully funded trip abroad
      • An opportunity to represent Ghana at the Miss Earth international pageant
      • An ambassadorial deal with a sponsoring brand.

    To commemorate the 20th anniversary, organisers have also lined up several special activities, including:

    • A GMB@20 documentary showcasing the programme’s journey.
    • A nationwide tourism and cultural promotion campaign.
    • The GMB Carnival on October 4, 2026, at the Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park.
    • A community legacy project coordinated through the 3Foundation, with the completed project to be handed over on November 28, 2026.

    The weekly live shows are underway on TV3, with the grand finale scheduled for October 18, 2026, at the Mövenpick Ambassador Hotel in Accra.

    • Lamiley – Greater Accra
    • An-Suaf Daabu – Upper West
    • Sessinam – Volta
    • Basi – Northern
    • Ayinboma – Upper East
    • Besiwaa – Central
    • Nana Konadu – Bono

    GMB@20 celebrates not only beauty but also culture, leadership, advocacy and community development, reinforcing the programme’s legacy as one of Ghana’s leading platforms for empowering young women and preserving the nation’s cultural heritage.
