Jubilare Group, in collaboration with the Mental Health Authority of Ghana and 18 partner organisations, has launched the Mental Health Campaign 2026, unveiling plans for Ghana’s first 24/7 remote mental health care platform.

The initiative aims to provide direct mental health support to more than 1,000 mothers, students, and professionals through screening, counselling, and other support services.

Speaking at the launch, Deborah Asmah, co-founder and Chief Marketing & Operations Officer of Npontu Technologies and President of Jubilare Group, shared her personal experience with postnatal depression following three pregnancies.

She revealed that she only discovered what she was experiencing through online searches rather than through medical support, underscoring the need for better awareness and access to mental healthcare in Ghana.

According to campaign organisers, the planned digital platform—expected to launch in the third or fourth quarter of 2026—will offer round-the-clock remote access to licensed therapists, psychiatrists, and counsellors. The platform is intended to improve accessibility while helping address stigma and privacy concerns associated with mental health treatment.

Dr Eugene Dordoye stressed the importance of innovation and collaboration in expanding mental healthcare access, stating that no Ghanaian’s mental health outcome should depend on location or the time help is needed.

The campaign will run from May to December 2026 and will focus on two major areas: maternal mental health and student mental health.

Under the maternal mental health programme, the initiative is partnering with institutions including Lister Hospital, 37 Military Hospital, University of Ghana Medical Center, Legon Hospital, and Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital to support mothers through screenings, counselling referrals, support groups, and training for frontline healthcare workers.

For students, partnerships with Accra Technical University and University of Cape Coast will focus on peer mental health advocacy, awareness campaigns, and strengthening access to campus counselling services.

The campaign also seeks to support awareness and implementation of Ghana’s Maternal Mental Health Policy launched earlier this year.

Other supporting partners include Mental Health Society of Ghana, Pantang Hospital, Accra Psychiatric Hospital, MTN Ghana, GBfoods, Fincra, and Hopeful Nkomo.
