This appointment is part of a broader initiative by the President to integrate creative industry professionals into key governmental roles.

Joselyn Dumas, known for her stellar performances on screen, will now bring her charisma and influence to the political arena.

This appointment follows other notable figures in the creative industry given significant roles.

Fashion designer and media personality Kofi Okyere-Darko (KOD) has been appointed the presidential adviser on Diaspora Affairs, while actress Kafui Danku and actor James Gardiner were appointed as the Executive Secretary and Deputy Executive Secretary of the National Film Authority, respectively.

Joselyn Dumas’ new role is expected to leverage her extensive network and influence to foster stronger connections between Ghana and its diaspora community. Her appointment is seen as a strategic move to enhance the country’s cultural diplomacy and promote Ghanaian heritage on a global scale.

As the Deputy Director for Diaspora Affairs, Dumas will be responsible for engaging with Ghanaians living abroad, promoting Ghana’s interests, and encouraging investment and tourism.
