MG Auto Trading Ghana Ltd., the exclusive distributor of MG vehicles in the country, has officially launched the all-new MG RX9 SUV at a grand ceremony held at the MG/Mac Ghana Spintex Showroom in Accra.

The event, attended by dignitaries, corporate leaders, customers, and media representatives, showcased MG’s flagship seven-seater SUV — hailed as a symbol of luxury, power, and advanced technology. The unveiling marked another milestone in MG Ghana’s mission to elevate automotive standards and deliver exceptional performance and design in the local market.

In his keynote address, Mr. Raman Malhotra, Country Head of MG Auto Trading Ghana Ltd., highlighted the company’s rapid growth and future outlook. He announced plans for the local assembly of MG vehicles in Ghana, a move expected to boost industrialisation and create employment opportunities. Mr. Malhotra reaffirmed MG Ghana’s commitment to supporting national economic development and providing customers with top-tier service and quality vehicles.

Mr. Manish Daryanani, Head of Sales and Marketing, introduced the MG RX9 to guests, noting that the company’s growing lineup — which includes the MG5, MG ONE, MG ZS, RX5, RX8, and T60 pickup — caters to a wide range of customer needs.

Highlighting the SUV’s standout features, he said the MG RX9 combines power and comfort with 140-degree reclining second-row seats, ample third-row legroom, and a 2.0T ‘Net Blue’ engine delivering 234 horsepower and 350 Nm of torque. It also offers five driving modes — Auto, Sport, Snow, and Off-Road — for versatile performance.

Backed by MG’s five-year or 100,000 km warranty and a nationwide dealer presence in Accra, Kumasi, Takoradi, and Tamale, the RX9 exemplifies MG’s dedication to innovation, customer satisfaction, and the growth of Ghana’s automotive industry.
