The National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE) in the Central Tongu district of the Volta Region has partnered with the youth to promote peace and unity through a Peace Walk in Adidome.

Mr George A.K Amey, the District Director of NCCE, emphasized the importance of unity in ensuring peace before, during, and after the elections.

He also warned against the negative impact of money in politics on Ghana’s democracy and urged the youth to be cautious of same.

Mr Amey entreated the youth to also avoid any form of misinformation and disinformation which would have a negative toll on the democracy and development of the country.

Reverend Victoria Hiagbe, the Chairperson of the Inter-Party Dialogue Committee in the district, encouraged tolerance and respect among youth, reminding them that “elections are not about bullets but ballots.”

She urged participants to exercise their civic duty, ensuring Ghana emerged victorious after the elections.

“Let’s promote peaceful coexistence and responsible citizenship to safeguard Ghana’s democratic stability,” she emphasized.
