PETROSOL Platinum Energy PLC is set to officially list its GH¢200 million note programme on the Ghana Stock Exchange’s Ghana Fixed Income Market (GFIM) today, August 24, 2026.
The move marks PETROSOL’s entry into Ghana’s organised fixed-income market and makes it the latest energy-sector company to turn to the capital market for funding.
Unlike an equity listing, the transaction does not involve PETROSOL selling ownership stakes in the company. Instead, the notes are debt securities through which investors provide funds to the company in return for agreed interest payments and repayment of the principal under the terms of the programme.
The Ghana Fixed Income Market provides a platform for trading government and corporate bonds, allowing investors to buy and sell eligible securities after issuance. The market is designed to improve liquidity, price discovery and transparency in fixed-income trading.
PETROSOL’s GH¢200 million note programme is expected to provide the company with a structured avenue to mobilise debt capital as it expands its operations in Ghana’s downstream petroleum and renewable energy sectors.
For investors, the listing provides another corporate debt instrument through which they can gain exposure to Ghana’s energy and downstream petroleum sector.
The development also comes as the Ghana Stock Exchange continues to promote the fixed-income market as an alternative source of capital for businesses while expanding investment opportunities beyond government securities.
PETROSOL’s listing could therefore have wider implications for Ghana’s capital market, demonstrating how established companies in the energy sector can diversify their funding sources, potentially reduce reliance on traditional bank financing and create additional investment opportunities for investors.
