The Volta Region Resource Group affiliated to the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has expressed confidence in the party’s presidential candidate, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, asserting that he is the leader to move Ghana forward.

The group believes Dr. Bawumia has the vision, courage, and innovative mindset required to address the country’s pressing challenges.

During a press conference held in Ho, the Volta Regional capital, on Tuesday, the group’s secretary, Mr. King David Akpabli, emphasized the need for a leader, who can take bold and decisive actions to overcome the obstacles facing the nation.

According to the group, Dr. Bawumia embodies the qualities and had already demonstrated his capability through his contributions to the current administration.

“Dr. Bawumia is a generational thinker, a dynamic and progressive leader, and a highly innovative individual, who has leveraged digitalization to create jobs for over a million Ghanaians,” Mr. Akpabli stated.

“In a rapidly digitalizing world, any leader who lacks the ability to harness digital technologies will struggle to succeed.”

The group highlighted Dr. Bawumia’s role in supporting the implementation of key policies such as the Free Senior High School (SHS) program, Agenda 111, the Planting for Food and Jobs initiative, and the payment of Teachers’ and Nurses’ Trainees’ Allowances.

They also credited him with significant infrastructural achievements, including the construction of roads and interchanges, notably the first dual carriageway in the Volta Region.

“These initiatives have achieved an 80% success rate, and the manifesto presented by the NPP reflects both our accomplishments and our plans to take the country to the next level of progress and development,” Mr. Akpabli added.

The group also pointed to Dr. Bawumia’s success in job creation, noting that the government, with his assistance, has already created over 2.3 million jobs.

“These are some of the brilliant and promising plans we have to empower our people, and they will be implemented transparently for all to see,” the group assured.

The NPP Volta Region Resource Group called on all Ghanaians to vote massively for Dr. Bawumia in the upcoming elections, asserting that his leadership is crucial for continued development.
