President John Dramani Mahama has held a breakfast meeting with UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer to deepen bilateral relations between Ghana and the United Kingdom.
The closed-door meeting, held on Tuesday, June 2, focused on trade, investment, and broader economic cooperation. It came shortly after both countries signed a Growth Partnership Agreement during the Ghana–UK Investment Summit.
Discussions centred on strengthening economic ties, expanding investment opportunities, and supporting Ghana’s efforts to attract private capital, boost industrial growth, and improve access to quality education.
President Mahama was accompanied by senior government officials, including Finance Minister Cassiel Ato Forson, Trade and Industry Minister Elizabeth Ofosu-Adjare, and Ghana’s High Commissioner to the UK and Ireland, Sabah Zita Benson.
The engagement forms part of ongoing efforts by Ghana to strengthen strategic partnerships with international allies and promote sustainable economic development through increased foreign investment and cooperation.
