Samsung Ghana has reaffirmed its support for youth creativity and innovation by partnering with the 10th edition of the Blooming Minds Young Writers/Arts Awards and Runway Show held in Accra.

The event brought together talented young writers, artists, and performers, providing them with a platform to showcase their creativity and share inspiring stories that reflect Ghana’s evolving cultural and creative landscape.

Organised by Blooming Minds Change Network, the programme has spent the past decade nurturing young talents in literature, art, and performance. Through its collaboration with the initiative, Samsung aims to support young people in developing their abilities and transforming their creative passions into meaningful opportunities.

Founder of Blooming Minds Change Network, Thelma Ofosu-Asamoah, noted during her opening remarks that the awards programme continues to help young people build important skills such as creativity, leadership, and critical thinking.

She also praised Samsung’s involvement, stating that the support of an international brand demonstrates growing recognition for youth-driven creativity and innovation.

One of the major highlights of the event was a live painting competition where participants used art to express personal experiences, identity, and ambition through creative works.

As part of its sponsorship, Samsung rewarded winners with devices to support their creative growth. Art contest winner Kimberly Quist received a Samsung Galaxy Tab A11 to aid her digital art journey, while winners in the short story and poetry categories were also honoured for their literary excellence.

Category A winner Eliana Appiah expressed excitement about her future ambitions, stating her dream of becoming an author.

Samsung Ghana indicated that its continued support for initiatives like Blooming Minds reflects its commitment to empowering the next generation with tools, inspiration, and opportunities to shape their future through creativity and innovation.
