The AGM also highlighted the Bank’s continued commitment to supporting Ghana’s economic development as it celebrates 130 years of operations in the country.

Addressing shareholders, Board Chairman Ebenezer Twum Asante said the Bank remains focused on delivering sustainable value despite global economic uncertainties.

He noted that Ghana’s improving macroeconomic outlook presents new opportunities for growth and expressed confidence in the Bank’s resilience, strategy and ability to continue supporting customers and contributing to national development.

“Our focus remains on positioning the Bank to deliver sustainable value for our shareholders. We will continue to support our clients, deepen our contribution to Ghana’s economic development and deliver long-term value for our shareholders,” he said.

Chief Executive Xorse Godzi said the Bank remains committed to helping clients achieve their ambitions while positioning the institution for sustainable growth.

He explained that Standard Chartered will continue leveraging its global network and local expertise to provide cross-border banking solutions that connect Ghanaian businesses and institutions to international markets, investment opportunities and innovation.

Mr. Godzi added that strengthening client relationships, expanding digital banking capabilities and delivering innovative financial solutions will remain key priorities as the Bank celebrates its 130th anniversary.

Established in 1896, Standard Chartered Bank Ghana has played a significant role in supporting trade, investment, enterprise development and financial innovation while connecting Ghana to global markets through its international network.

The Bank said it remains committed to promoting sustainable economic growth through responsible banking practices, community investment, talent development and thought leadership in Ghana’s financial services sector.

Standard Chartered Bank Ghana PLC is listed on the Ghana Stock Exchange and forms part of the global Standard Chartered Group, which operates in 55 markets worldwide.
