Aligning with Ghana’s collective mourning, Stonebwoy’s concise message captures both sorrow and respect, echoed under the trending hashtag #BlackWednesday.

    The Fallen Heroes

Official sources confirm that eight people died in the crash, including:

    • Dr. Edward Omane Boamah – Minister for Defence

    • Dr. Ibrahim Murtala Muhammed – Minister for Environment, Science & Technology

    • Alhaji Muniru Mohammed Limuna – Deputy National Security Coordinator and former Minister of Agriculture

    • Samuel Sarpong – Vice‑Chair of the ruling NDC party and former Ashanti Regional Minister

    • Three Ghana Air Force crew members: Squadron Leader Peter Bafemi Anala, Flying Officer Manin Twum-Ampadu, and Sergeant Ernest Addo Mensah

The helicopter, operated by the Ghana Air Force, took off from Accra en route to Obuasi in the Ashanti Region before losing contact over Adansi Akrofuom. It remains one of the deadliest aviation disasters Ghana has experienced in recent year.

Government officials led by Chief of Staff Julius Debrah described the incident as a “national tragedy”, ordering flags to be flown at half‑mast and suspending President Mahama’s activities for the day. In homes and communities across Ghana, tributes continue to pour in, honoring the service and sacrifices of the fallen.

Stonebwoy’s tribute stands out as a moving example of public figures using their voices not for words, but respect. His choice of symbols—like the dove and broken heart emojis—and mention of the dedicated public servants, underscores both grief and gratitude.

This incident is a stark reminder of the fragility of life and the dedication of those who serve in public duty. Stonebwoy’s message, though brief, carries the weight of a nation grieving beloved leaders. With investigations underway and arranger funeral protocols in preparation, Ghana now faces a somber period of reflection and remembrance.

KakNews.com sends heartfelt condolences to the families of all who were lost. May their service and legacy endure in Ghana’s collective memory.
