At the 4th Ghana Medical and Diagnostic Excellence Awards, which took place on August 9 at the Alisa Hotel, SYNLAB Ghana emerged victorious as the Overall Best Laboratory Center of the Year.

Additionally, Patrick Asiamah was named CEO of the Year for Overall Best Diagnostics. The former CEO of the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital and former Board Chairman of the Health Facility Regulatory Agency (HeFRA) presented the awards.

The recognitions reaffirm SYNLAB Ghana’s reputation for delivering high-quality, accurate, and reliable diagnostic services.

The awards, according to the organizers, highlight the firm’s ongoing dedication to medical excellence and patient-centered care. This milestone also reflects SYNLAB’s values of passion, accountability, and customer centricity.

SYNLAB Ghana continues to expand access to advanced healthcare diagnostics by operating a network of twenty branches across the country, including Accra, Tema, Kumasi, Takoradi, Tamale, Koforidua, Goaso, and Sunyani.

The laboratory offers more than 5,000 tests, including newborn screening, DNA analysis, non-invasive prenatal testing (NIPT), advanced genetic and personalized medicine diagnostics, and pharmacogenomics (MyPGx).

SYNLAB Ghana operates under ISO 15189 international accreditation, ensuring compliance with the highest global standards of accuracy and competency.

This year’s award adds to SYNLAB Ghana’s track record of achievements, including the ECOWAS Quality Award (2017), recognition as Best Customer-Oriented Diagnostic Centre (2022), and Best Technology Diagnostic Centre (2023).

The Ghana Medical and Diagnostic Excellence Awards, organised by Africmedia Galaxy in collaboration with HeFRA, celebrate innovation and outstanding contributions to the healthcare and diagnostics sector.
