The University of Education Hospital in Winneba has temporarily suspended Outpatient Department (OPD) services following the ongoing strike by the Ghana Association of University Administrators (GAUA).
The suspension means patients requiring outpatient care at the hospital will not be able to access OPD services until further notice.
In a notice issued to patients and visitors, the hospital explained that the suspension was directly linked to the ongoing industrial action by GAUA.
The hospital apologised for the inconvenience caused and advised patients who require further information to contact the hospital administration.
Management said OPD services will resume once the GAUA strike is called off.
The development affects outpatient services at the University of Education, Winneba (UEW) Hospital as the industrial action by university administrators continues.
