An eyewitness, Mr. Engembe Thomas, told Ghana News Agency (GNA), that the bus, with registration number GW 6575-21, was traveling from Dambai to Kete-Krachi at high speed when it struck the teenager, who suffered severe head injuries and died on the spot.

He lamented the reckless driving habits of some VIP bus drivers, saying “They do not exercise patience when driving through town. They speed without caution,” he stressed.

Residents are urging drivers to adhere to speed limits, especially in town areas, to prevent such unfortunate accidents.

Meanwhile, the police have visited the scene to restore calm. The body of the deceased has been taken to the Kete-Krachi mortuary as investigations continue.
