The Volta Regional Youth wing of the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC), has strongly condemned the recent attack on the Ho Central Constituency office of the party.
Some youth believed to be members of the NDC Tuesday evening (January 21) broke into the party’s constituency office in Ho, brought out items including documents and furniture and set them ablaze at the office premises.
Mr. Mathias Alagbo, popularly known as Kabila, Volta Regional Youth Organizer of the NDC, in a release on Wednesday, said they suspected that the Tuesday, January 21 incident had been carried out by disgruntled party members dissatisfied with the ongoing government appointment process being made by President John Dramani Mahama.
“In particular, the disgruntled members are said to be unhappy with the lack of any appointment from the constituency thus far by the President. “We urge our supporters to remain calm and allow the appointment process to unfold without interference. Appointments are a continuous process, and we are confident that President Mahama acknowledges the Volta Region’s significance to the NDC’s electoral success and will reward local Voltarians accordingly.
“We wish to caution those responsible for the attack and others contemplating similar actions to desist, as such behavior is inconsistent with the party’s values and the way Voltarians resolve differences,” it concluded.
