The bond between Ghana and Jamaica’s dancehall scenes just got even stronger. Jamaican global icon Vybz Kartel has jumped on Shatta Wale’s new trending song “Street Crown,” taken from his recently released EP “Voice of the Crown.”
The collaboration is more than just music — it’s a cultural link-up between two of dancehall’s most influential voices from different continents. Shatta Wale, hailed as the “Dancehall King” of Africa, has long expressed admiration for Kartel’s dominance and influence in the Jamaican and global dancehall space. Now, with Vybz Kartel delivering his own version of “Street Crown,” the recognition is mutual.
Since its release, “Street Crown” has been making waves across streaming platforms and social media, with fans praising its raw street energy and lyrical power. Kartel’s involvement only amplifies the buzz, giving the record a true cross-continental stamp of approval.
For Shatta Wale, this moment is another milestone in proving that Ghanaian dancehall has a firm seat at the global table. For Kartel, it’s a reminder that his influence transcends borders, bridging Jamaica’s iconic sound with Africa’s fast-rising wave.
