We won’t pay; where are her rich father’s properties? – Ghanaians lambast Beverly Afaglo’s Go-Fund-Me

Ghanaians have vehemently rejected a Go-Fund-Me account set up by Yvonne Nelson to raise $20,000 to support Beverly Afaglo. Beverly’s house and everything inside it was grazed to the ground a few nights ago after a terrible fire outbreak.

But the good people on social media have called the move preposterous and ridiculous. According to them, asking ‘poor’ people to contribute to a Go-Fund-Me account for someone who bragged about her father’s riches and properties is a fraud.

Despite sympathizing with Beverly Afaglo’s misfortune, most people suggested that her ‘celebrity friends should be able to raise the ‘paltry’ amount of $20,000, which equals about Ghc 120,000.
A few people agreed to sign on, with some asking for mobile money account details to make the transfer easier.

A few months ago, Beverly Afaglo disclosed her privileged lifestyle after an article seemed to suggest otherwise. She mentioned that her late father was a rich man who had bequeathed her many properties.
Sadly, a fire engulfed her house a few days ago, which cost her everything she owned. Yvonne Nelson, in solidarity, set up a Go Fund Me account to generate funds for her colleague in distress. But this move did not go down well with social media commentators.

The initial post has been deleted from her Facebook account but still running on her Twitter and Instagram pages. Most of the mean comments come from Facebook users, which may have influenced her decision to delete the post.
