10 Basic Schools battle for supremacy in Assin South NCCE Quiz

The Assin South District Directorate of the National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE) has organised a quiz completion for ten basic schools in the Assin South District of the Central Region.

Assin Nkran/Ngresi D/A Basic School “A” won the competition, followed by Assin Ngresi D/A Basic School “B” and Assin Darmang Catholic School.

The fourth position was a tie between Asamankese Ahmadiyya Basic School,  Assin Kyinaso D/A Basic school and Atobiase/ Kyekyewere D/A Basic School.

The rest are Assin Asamankese D/A Basic School, Domeabra D/A Basic School, Achiase Basic and Otabilkrom D/A Basic Schools.

Mr George Briku, District Director of NCCE, said the quiz tested the skills and understanding of the students about Ghana’s history, constitution, governance and civil rights.

He emphasised the essence to equip the younger generation with the requisite knowledge, skills and values necessary to become responsible citizens.

Mr Briku wished the contestants well and admonished them to always be abreast with the rich history of Ghana to serve the country well.

The NCCE Director presented the contestants with a copy of the 1992 constitution, a certificate of participation, story books and other educational material.
