The Electoral Commission (EC) has released a statement to debunk claims that an Asian man was issued a new voter’s identification card in the ongoing voter registration exercise.

The EC in the statement has said that the card with the ID number, 2809012504 was originally issued to one Nana Kweku Okai Brako  and has been photoshopped to have superimposed the face of a male Asian on the card.

The EC described that all photographs of the newly issued voter’s identification card has a blue background while the one with the Asian man had a cream background which strongly suggests that it’s fake.

The commission has called on the public to regard the information going round as they work with the Police to investigate how the original card was photoshopped and circulated.
