Dr. John Savior Yaw Eleblu, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) parliamentary candidate (PC) of North Tongu, has pledged to secure some $500 million in investments to develop the constituency if elected as Member of Parliament.

He disclosed this in an interview with the Ghana News Agency (GNA), where he emphasized his commitment to transforming North Tongu into a hub for tourism and economic growth by leveraging its rich natural resources.

Dr. Eleblu said that the constituency had untapped potential, particularly in tourism, citing the rivers, landscapes, and cultural heritage which could attract investors and tourists alike, when given the right infrastructure and development plans.

“Our constituency is blessed with natural beauty, but it has not been fully utilized. With the right vision, North Tongu can become a leading tourism destination in the country and attract investors and create jobs. My goal is to bring in over $500 million in investments to unlock this potential,” he explained.

The PC, however, indicated that the performance of the incumbent Member of Parliament from the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) lacked a coherent strategy to capitalize on the constituency’s tourism assets.

He argued that North Tongu had been left behind in terms of development, a situation he vowed to reverse with his “Poverty to Prosperity” agenda.

Dr. Eleblu stated that he would engage stakeholders and investors to spearhead critical projects aimed at transforming the constituency’s infrastructure, including roads, hospitality facilities, and eco-friendly tourism projects.

He said that “we would also focus on infrastructure, education, health, and job creation to ensure that prosperity becomes a reality for everyone.”

He appealed to the people of North Tongu to support his candidacy and vote for him in the upcoming general elections.

He assured them that under his leadership, the constituency’s economic objectives would be significantly enhanced, and the local tourism industry would experience unprecedented growth.
