Mr Eric Edem Agbana, the Parliamentary Candidate (PC) for the Ketu North constituency, has extended financial support worth GHC 15,900 to apprentices and their trainers.

The contribution, is part of Mr Agbana’s ‘EdemPower500’ initiative, aims to uplift and support local vocational training efforts across the constituency.

The support was distributed during three graduation ceremonies held in the area, benefiting a total of 15 trainers and 42 apprentices.

As part of the programme, each graduating apprentice received GHC 200, while each trainer received GHC 500 to recognize their commitment and mentorship.

Addressing the gathering, the PC emphasized his dedication to supporting vocational training as a critical path to employment and empowerment for young people in Ketu North.

“If elected as Member of Parliament, I will continue to provide this support throughout my tenure to encourage apprentices to pursue their goals and trainers to continue their valuable work,” he stated.

Mr Agbana’s initiative goes beyond financial assistance. Through ‘EdemPower500’, he has already sponsored over 100 young individuals to begin apprenticeships, with more than 450 people currently enrolled in the programme.

The initiative aims to support 500 young people in total, providing not only funds but also career guidance and resources to foster their success.

The apprentices and their trainers expressed gratitude for the support, pledging to make the most of it in their training and professional growth.

Many trainers shared that such financial backing is rare and welcomed Mr Agbana’s commitment to vocational development as a step toward long-term economic progress for the constituency.

Agbana’s ‘EdemPower500’ programme represents a significant investment in the future of Ketu North, aiming to build a skilled workforce that can contribute meaningfully to local development.
