The Party said Mr. Buah has distinguished himself in various capacities, including as Deputy Minister for Energy, Minister for Energy and Petroleum, one-time Western Regional Parliamentary Caucus Chair, and the immediate past Deputy Minority Leader of Ghana’s Parliament.

This was contained in a statement issued by the Western Regional Communications Bureau of the NDC and signed by the Regional Communications Officer, Mr Richard Kirk-Mensah and copied to the Ghana News Agency in Aiyinasi.

The statement said the “remarkable leadership journey is further highlighted by his pivotal role in securing the victory of the NDC in the Western Region, a feat that underscores his unwavering commitment to the party’s ideals and the Region’s”.

“At a time when Ghana faces critical challenges in managing its natural resources, Hon. Emmanuel Armah Kofi Buah’s wealth of experience, especially in resource governance and policy implementation, is the perfect solution”. “His tenure as Minister for Energy and Petroleum saw significant advancements in the energy sector, and we have no doubt that he will bring the same level of innovation, integrity, and visionary leadership to this new role”.

The Bureau expressed its profound gratitude to President John Dramani Mahama for his wisdom in recognizing the unique abilities of Mr. Kofi Buah to lead this critical Ministry. “The Western Regional NDC rides on high hopes and very confident that Hon. Emmanuel Armah Kofi Buah will once again rise to the occasion, leaving an indelible mark on the governance and sustainable management of Ghana’s natural resources,” the statement said.
