Myron Boadu is back in focus for VfL Bochum as they prepare to host Union Berlin on Sunday afternoon.
Coach Dieter Hecking confirmed the 24-year-old striker will feature in the match, though he kept fans guessing about whether Boadu would start or come off the bench.
“He will certainly be on the pitch on Sunday. Whether right at the start or in the course of the game has not yet been decided,” said Hecking.
Boadu has struggled for minutes lately, having started only once in Bochum’s last nine league games due to injury and suspension. But after returning to action last week with a 30-minute cameo against Werder Bremen, the Dutch-Ghanaian is now in full contention again.
Hecking praised Boadu’s recent training performances, especially his effort without the ball. Still, the coach stressed the importance of managing pressure on the young striker.
Bochum are battling to stay up, and with their survival on the line, Boadu’s sharp instincts in front of goal could prove crucial.
