Ghanaian music duo R2Bees have issued an official statement regarding their ongoing US tour dates, announcing postponements and a cancellation due to unforeseen circumstances.
In a post shared on their Instagram page (@r2beesmusic), the duo expressed regret to fans and provided updated information for the affected shows.
    Official Announcement
“We are sorry to announce that due to unforeseen circumstances beyond our control our show in Ohio and DC this Saturday and Sunday has been postponed to 2nd August DC and 15th August Ohio. The Philadelphia show tomorrow however has been cancelled with a new Artist billed to perform. Sorry once again for any inconvenience caused. Thank you.”
The message was posted just minutes ago and has already generated mixed reactions from fans some expressing disappointment over travel costs, while others remain supportive of the legendary duo.

    New Dates

    • Washington DC → Rescheduled to August 2, 2026
    • Ohio → Rescheduled to August 15, 2026
    • Philadelphia → Cancelled (replaced by another artist)
R2Bees were scheduled to perform as part of their 2026 US tour, including high-profile stops in Philadelphia (June 26), Columbus Ohio (June 27), and Washington DC at the Howard Theatre (June 28). The tour was generating significant buzz among the Ghanaian and Afrobeats diaspora in the United States.
This update comes as a disappointment to fans who had already made travel arrangements, especially with the current economic climate making tickets and accommodations expensive.

Fan Reactions Comments on the post reflect a range of emotions:

    Send your stories to Email: myghanadaily@gmail.com • WhatsApp: +233 577 145 140
    • Frustration over non-refundable travel and accommodation costs
    • Continued love and support for R2Bees
    • Excitement about the rescheduled August dates
R2Bees reassured fans with positive comments like “Even better, We will see you in August ”
If you purchased tickets for the original dates, hold onto them as they should remain valid for the rescheduled shows in DC and Ohio. For the Philadelphia show, contact the original point of purchase for refund information.
We’ll keep monitoring the situation and update this post with any further statements from the team or promoters.
