The donation followed appeals for assistance after heavy rains caused the Samre and Tano rivers to overflow, inundating several communities, displacing residents, and destroying property.
The relief package comprised 100 bags of rice, 50 student mattresses, 25 boxes of canned fish, and 25 packs of toiletries.
Presenting the items on behalf of the Paramount Chief, the Divisional Chief of Nkwanta Kesse, Nana Ntori Bonkyi, conveyed his sympathies to the affected families and urged those responsible for distributing the items to ensure the process is fair, transparent, and reaches all intended beneficiaries.
He stressed that the donation was made to provide direct support to flood victims and called on distribution officials to carry out the exercise with integrity.
Nana Ntori Bonkyi also appealed to beneficiaries to appreciate the gesture and avoid making unfounded allegations against those overseeing the distribution of the relief items.
The recent flooding, triggered by the overflow of the Samre and Tano rivers after prolonged heavy rainfall, affected several communities in the area, leaving hundreds of residents displaced and causing extensive damage to homes and other property.
