The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has announced Thursday, August 20, 2026, as the date for its 32nd Ordinary Congress.
The annual statutory meeting will be held at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence in Prampram in accordance with Article 31(2) of the GFA Statutes.
The Congress is expected to bring together club representatives, technical officials and other stakeholders to review the past football season and deliberate on issues concerning the development and administration of the sport.
Key areas expected to feature on the agenda include football competitions, development programmes, governance, administration and strategic plans for the upcoming season.
Members of the Association have been formally notified of the date, with a formal convocation expected to be circulated ahead of the meeting.
The convocation will include the Congress agenda, activity reports, financial statements and the auditors’ report, allowing delegates to examine the Association’s activities and financial performance.
Beyond the statutory business, the full-day Congress will provide an opportunity for GFA leadership to engage members on ongoing initiatives and address challenges affecting football at various levels.
The meeting comes as Ghanaian football continues to navigate a range of opportunities and challenges, with stakeholders expected to closely follow the decisions and resolutions that emerge from the gathering.
The GFA has urged delegates to prepare adequately for the Congress and emphasised the importance of constructive engagement in efforts to strengthen football administration and development across the country.
