He said Mr. Charles Agbesi, one of the contestants in a letter made available to the constituency executives, withdrew from the contest for personal reasons. The Secretary noted that Mr. Ameko was “in the trenches” with the other Constituency and branch executives to reorganize the support base of the party in the Constituency after it’s defeat in the 2016 general elections.

He said his leadership and organizational skills led to the massive votes the party got in the recent general elections. Mr. Amenuvie stated that Mr Ameko was always with the people in the Constituency, knew and identified with their problems.

“The name of the Chairman resonates well at all the branches of the party in the constituency, and he has a huge support base among the traditional Authorities,” he stressed.

The Secretary said both the constituency and branch executives were hopeful that the President would nominate their chairman to enable him to continue his good work for Adaklu and the party. He commended the vetting committee for their excellent work.
