The Amen and Amen Institute, a non-governmental organisation, has donated GH¢10,000 to the Ministry of Food and Agriculture to support the 2025 World Food Day celebration.

Observed globally on October 16 each year, World Food Day highlights collective efforts and progress toward building resilient and sustainable food systems. This year’s theme is: “Hand in Hand for Better Foods and a Better Future.”

Presenting the donation on behalf of the Founder and Leader of the Institute, Amen Amenreynolds Amen, Mr. Daniel Reynolds, a member of the Institute, reaffirmed their dedication to advancing food security initiatives. He noted that the Institute has consistently partnered with the United Nations in marking the World Food Day celebration over the years.

Mr. Reynolds also urged the youth to take farming more seriously in order to contribute to national food security.

“We especially encourage young people to get involved in farming to support MoFA in ensuring the country’s long-term food security,” he stressed.

He further praised the government for its efforts in safeguarding Ghana’s development and prosperity.

Receiving the donation on behalf of the Ministry, Mr. Bright Demordzi, National Coordinator of the Feed Ghana Programme, expressed gratitude to the Institute for its continuous support and commitment to promoting food security.
