Citi FM and Channel One TV have demonstrated their continued commitment to social impact by donating GH¢20,000, 20 bags of rice, pillows, and assorted food items to the Iris Place Rehabilitation Centre in Accra on Monday, April 6.
The gesture forms part of their annual Easter Orphan Project, an initiative dedicated to supporting vulnerable groups and institutions making a difference in society.
General Manager of the two media outlets, Bernard Avle, noted that their contribution goes beyond material support, emphasizing the importance of raising awareness about the work of such organisations.
“Our responsibility is not only to give but also to highlight the important work being done quietly within communities,” he said.
He pointed out the relevance of rehabilitation centres in addressing personal struggles, stressing that many individuals face different forms of challenges.
According to him, the centre’s approach is discreet yet impactful, focusing on personal transformation in a meaningful way.
Mr. Avle also called for increased national support, suggesting that the centre’s model could be replicated across the country to broaden its impact.
