The Ghana Football Association has announced Ghana’s final 26-man squad for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, which will be hosted by the United States, Mexico, and Canada.
Head coach Carlos Queiroz has selected a balanced squad featuring experienced internationals and emerging talents as Ghana prepares for its World Cup campaign. Jordan Ayew, Thomas Partey, Inaki Williams, Kamaldeen Sulemana, and Antoine Semenyo are among the notable names included in the squad.
The squad comprises three goalkeepers, eight defenders, seven midfielders, and eight forwards. Goalkeepers selected include Benjamin Asare, Lawrence Ati-Zigi, and Joseph Anang. The inclusion of Benjamin Asare, who plays in the Ghana Premier League, is expected to be welcomed by local football supporters.
In defence, the team features players such as Baba Rahman, Gideon Mensah, Alidu Seidu, Abdul Mumin, Jerome Opoku, Jonas Adjetey, Kojo Oppong Peprah, and Derrick Luckassen, who replaces the injured Alexander Djiku.
The midfield unit is led by Thomas Partey and includes Elisha Owusu, Kwasi Sibo, Augustine Boakye, Caleb Yirenkyi, Abdul Fatawu Issahaku, and Kamaldeen Sulemana.
Up front, Ghana will rely on Jordan Ayew, Inaki Williams, Antoine Semenyo, Kamaldeen Sulemana, Ernest Nuamah, Christopher Bonsu Baah, Brandon Thomas-Asante, and Prince Kwabena Adu to lead the attack.
Ghana will begin its World Cup journey against Panama on June 17 before facing England and Croatia in Group L.
